BUFFALO, NY – Dennis C. Vacco, a partner at Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, is serving as a panelist for the New York State Bar Association Health Law Section’s annual fall meeting on November 8 in Albany. This year’s theme of the meeting is “Duties, Rights, and the Law at the End of Life.” Mr. Vacco’s panel, “Examining Medical Aid in Dying in New York State” will look at the pros and cons of this legislation.

Mr. Vacco, former New York State Attorney General, serves as the Government Investigations and Enforcement Actions Practice Team leader. At Lippes Mathias he advises clients to ensure they are in compliance with the complex and ever-changing rules of both the state and federal governments. In addition, he represents clients who have been directly targeted or under investigation by the New York State Attorney General or other enforcement agencies. In 1997, as Attorney General, Mr. Vacco argued the case of Vacco v. Quill. The Court ultimately decided there was no constitutional right to physician-assisted suicide.
