Lippes Mathias is pleased to announce that Alexander W. Eaton, a member of its litigation team in its Buffalo office, has been appointed to serve as a member of the Rural Transit Service Board of Directors.
About the Rural Transit Service
Rural Transit Service is a non-profit transportation organization That provides safe, affordable, and reliable transportation to seniors, low-income, and disabled clients to allow them to maintain a happier, healthier, more independent lifestyle and heighten their involvement in the community. Eligible residents are transported to dialysis clinics, medical offices, physical therapy, pharmacies, colleges, workplaces, nutrition sites, adult day cares, grocery stores, banks, salons/barbers, etc., with medical trips taking priority.
Rural Transit’s success is predicated on the commitment of their volunteers, including drivers, dispatchers and driver aides; providing the transportation and scheduling. In 25 years, due to the increasing need, Rural Transit has expanded its service area from two towns, with approximately one dozen volunteers to 25 municipalities throughout Erie County with the help of over one hundred thirty volunteers and the need continues.
About Alexander W. Eaton
Alexander Eaton concentrates his practice primarily in commercial and municipal litigation, contract disputes, land disposition and use, and eminent domain issues. Before joining Lippes Mathias, he was a litigation associate at a regional law firm.
While in law school, Alexander won the 43rd Annual Lionel O. Grossman Trial Competition and interned with the Erie County District Attorney and the Orleans County District Attorney.
