Amy Habib Rittling Elected President of The Buffalo Club; Kevin J. Cross Elected to the Club’s Board of Directors

Lippes Mathias today announced that Amy Habib Rittling, partner and leader of the firm’s employment team, has been elected to serve a one-year term as president of The Buffalo Club, a distinctive and storied city club founded in Buffalo in 1867 that has grown and evolved with the city into a renowned Platinum Club of America and Platinum Club of The World. Kevin J. Cross, the firm’s managing partner and chairman, has also been elected to serve a three-year term as a member of The Buffalo Club’s board of directors.
Amy Habib Rittling concentrates her practice in employment and general business law and litigation. Her employment law experience includes counseling and advising employers on all aspects of employment relationships and employment practices and policies. She also regularly assists employers with workplace investigations and self-audits. Habib Rittling also represents employers before administrative agencies including the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the U.S. Department of Labor, the New York State Department of Labor and other various state, and local employment agencies. She frequently defends clients in legal claims involving discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, state and federal wage and hour laws, and the Family and Medical Leave Act, and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Kevin J. Cross is the managing partner and chairman of Lippes Mathias and leads the firm's executive committee. As the firm's managing partner, Cross is charged with responsibility for all of the firm's offices, attorneys, and staff. He is the conduit to the firm's partnership and its executive operations team. Cross coordinates the firm's strategic direction, implementation of initiatives and goals, and attorney recruitment. One of his main focuses is centered on positive culture and the promotion of a collegial and collaborative professional environment where team members focus on client objectives and the betterment of the firm as a whole. Cross has been repeatedly recognized as a skilled and experienced lawyer who concentrates his practice on state and federal business litigation, as well as environmental litigation matters. With over 20-plus years of experience, Cross has handled cases in many areas of complex high-stakes litigation, consistently obtaining exceptional results for his clients.
