BUFFALO, NY – Local author Lawrence Brooks sought the expertise of Martin Doster, a long-time official with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and now a senior environmental coordinator at Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, in his recently published book, “Buffalo Niagara: Diagnosis and Prescription for Change.”
The book, published in 2015, focuses on the changes the Buffalo Niagara region has undergone within the last decade and the impact of the transformation on the area’s human, social and environmental capital. Mr. Brooks is president of the Western New York Land Conservancy.

In the book, Mr. Doster is quoted extensively on environmental matters related to the Superfund program and environmental remediation and brownfield cleanup projects and their direct effect on the health of both the environment and public.

“I am grateful that Larry reached out to me to get my perspective on the dramatic environmental changes we are witnessing throughout Western New York,” said Doster. “It was a privilege to be part of a book that highlights how these changes are affecting us as a region on many levels and primarily in a positive manner.”

As senior environmental coordinator at Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, Mr. Doster advises attorneys and consults on matters related to national environmental issues facing the firm’s real estate and development clients. Mr. Doster also is the firm’s director of operations, in which he is responsible for overseeing employee relations and human resources issues, accounts receivable coordination, vendor relations and the firm’s strategic initiatives.
