ALBANY, NY. – Lippes Mathias is pleased to announce that Anoush Koroghlian-Scott, a Partner in its Albany, NY office, has been elected to Chair the New York State Bar Association’s Health Law Section. A 29-year member of the association, Anoush most recently served as chair-elect of the section and previously chaired the section’s Providers and In-House Counsel in Health Care Committee.

Anoush has nearly 30 years of experience having practiced health law in private practice and in-house at various hospitals in the Capital Region. As a member of the senior leadership team at a large community hospital and prior roles as Risk Management Director and Compliance Officer in other regional facilities, Anoush has a unique understanding of health care operations and the daily challenges to delivering high quality health care services in a cost-effective manner. Her clients include hospitals, physician practice groups, mental health providers, billing companies and individual practitioners. She serves as a strategic business partner on a wide range of transactional and operational matters and offers her clients practical, innovative solutions that align with strategic goals and initiatives.

The New York State Bar Association Health Law Section has more than 1,100 members who practice or are interested in the many areas of law affecting access to and the delivery of health care. The Health Law Section hosts educational conferences annually in January and October and offers periodic CLE programs which provide its members resources to better serve their clients, including updates on hot topics and legislative changes. It also supports its members through Committees that specialize in specific areas of health law. Each Committee provides further education in the area of the Committee’s expertise. The Committees also provide the opportunity to comment on pending legislation, draft proposed legislation, and network with local and national experts.
