Lippes Mathias today announced that partner Johnny A. Mueller secured confirmation of Fairport Baptist Homes’ Chapter 11 plan of liquidation on Feb. 26, following nearly three years of court-supervised restructuring.

Mueller served as debtor’s counsel throughout the case, guiding the not-for-profit skilled nursing facility through a process that concluded with more than 99 percent of voting unsecured creditors supporting the plan.

As part of the proceeding, Mueller led a competitive auction of the facility that resulted in a nearly 80 percent increase in value over initial estimates. The sale proceeds are funding the confirmed plan and will support distributions to all creditor classes.
