BUFFALO, N.Y. – On Thursday, May 6, members of Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP’s Health Law Team presented “Telehealth in 2021 and Beyond,” a complimentary webinar focused on highlighting and recognizing new and continuing opportunities for providers to leverage their learnings from the COVID-19 pandemic by identifying key legal issues, organizational steps, and operational considerations related to launching or continuing telehealth services in a post-pandemic world.

About the Speakers:

Frank focuses his practice on government relations, health care law, and privacy and data security. He has nearly 30 years of experience, including over a decade in a role as a legal, government relations and policy counsel with a nationally recognized health insurer. Frank previously served as a senior advisor to the New York State Senate Health Committee chair on legislative and public policy issues in connection with New York's deregulation of the hospital payment methodology system (Health Care Reform Act) and other major health care initiatives. He also practiced law with other law firms, where he represented hospitals, medical groups, independent practice associations, physician organizations, home health agencies and other health care providers.

Anoush has nearly 30 years of experience having practiced health law in private practice and in-house at various hospitals in the Capital Region. As a member of the senior leadership team at a large community hospital and prior roles as Risk Management Director and Compliance Officer in other regional facilities, Anoush has a unique understanding of health care operations and the daily challenges to delivering high quality health care services in a cost-effective manner. Her clients include hospitals, physician practice groups, mental health providers, billing companies and individual practitioners. She serves as a strategic business partner on a wide range of transactional and operational matters and offers her clients practical, innovative solutions that align with strategic goals and initiatives.

Lauren provides corporate and regulatory counsel to health care providers, including health systems, hospitals, medical groups, ambulatory surgery centers, urgent care centers, home care agencies, and individual practitioners. She helps clients find practical and meaningful solutions for a variety of health care transactions, relationships, operational transitions, and compliance matters. Her experience includes health care provider affiliations and joint ventures, acquisitions and sales of medical practices, formation and organization of an accountable care organization, medical practice management arrangements, practitioner employment arrangements, and HIPAA compliance. Lauren works regularly to help health care providers achieve their business goals in a manner that complies with health law requirements, while optimizing the quality of and access to health care for patients in the community.
