For the second consecutive year, the firm earned a tier-one ranking (the highest available) for its commercial real estate practice group. The LMWF real estate group works with clients across New York State and across the country on complex multi-million commercial real estate transactions. As business continued to grow, the real estate group added two attorneys to its ranks in 2014 with plans to hire more to meet the steady rise in real estate transactions.
Lippes Mathias also earned a tier-three ranking for its corporate law practice group. The firm’s corporate group works with clients ranging from small business owners to top, publicly-traded companies, on all aspects of their businesses from financing, to real estate, M& A work, labor and employment matters and litigation.
“We are proud of the work our real estate attorneys do every day on behalf of our clients,” said Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman’s Managing Partner Scott Friedman. “To see that hard work recognized on a national level is very gratifying.”
“For thirty years, U.S. News has provided consumers with accurate, in-depth information and rankings of a wide-range of institutions,” says Tim Smart, Executive Editor of U.S. News & World Report. “Law firms are an integral part of our rankings and a natural accompaniment to the law school rankings.”
The 2015 rankings are based on the highest number of participating firms and highest number of client ballots on record. To be eligible for a ranking, a firm must have a lawyer listed in The Best Lawyers in America, which recognizes the top 4 percent of practicing attorneys in the US. Over 17,000 attorneys provided almost 600,000 law firm assessments, and almost 7,500 clients provided more than 40,000 evaluations.
