The Buffalo-based law firm of Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP is pleased to announce that Attorney Eliza P. Friedman was recently elected secretary of the Board of Directors for PUCCS Charitable Fund, Inc. She has served as a member of the board for the Program for Understanding Childhood Concussion and Stroke since fall 2014.

Additionally, Friedman was recently named to the Board of Directors for the SUNY Buffalo Law School Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) Group. Friedman is an associate in Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman’s Corporate and Healthcare practice groups.

In addition to her newly appointed leadership positions, Friedman is an active volunteer for Roswell Park Cancer Institute’s All-Star Night, Carly’s Club, Elmwood Franklin School Alumni Council, Buffalo Seminary Alumni Council and the Erie County Bar Association Volunteer Lawyers Project.

“It is an honor to serve in these leadership roles for PUCCS and the GOLD Group,” said Friedman. “Giving back to the community has always been important to me, even from a young age.”

She is a 2014 graduate of SUNY Buffalo Law School, and a 2011 graduate of the University of Rochester.

PUCCS was founded to raise awareness of children’s safety while playing sports, and has a mission to provide the resources necessary to understand and prevent concussions as an injury in all sports. For more information, visit www.puccs.org.

The GOLD Group is a facet of the SUNY Buffalo Law Alumni Association, and organizes educational, networking and social opportunities for the growth and development of recent graduates of the law school. Further information can be found online at www.law.buffalo.edu.
