BUFFALO, NY – Thomas J. Keable, a partner at Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP, was recently elected as a member of the Managing Chapter Council of The American Chamber of Commerce in Canada (AmCham Canada) Toronto – GTA Chapter.
AmCham Canada is a private, non-profit, membership organization that promotes the two-way flow of trade, goods, services and investment between Canada and the United States. The Toronto GTA Chapter is one of seven chapters of AmCham Canada and serves as the first and most comprehensive point of contact for U.S. businesses coming into Canada and Canadian businesses seeking to develop markets into the U.S.
At Lippes Mathias, Mr. Keable, a partner, serves as the firm’s Canada-U.S. Cross Border Practice team leader. He focuses his practice on assisting Canadian businesses, lenders and individuals with U.S. legal matters, including the purchase and sale of businesses; representation of lenders and borrowers in structuring financings and negotiation and drafting of loan and security agreements; the structuring of entities; and the preparation of agreements for a wide variety of business transactions and situations.
