Scherer, Jr., Partner and Team Leader of the firm’s Business and Commercial Litigation Team, has been appointed to serve on the Judicial Committee of the Association of Credit and Collection Professionals (ACA International). The purpose of the ACA International Judicial Committee is to establish, oversee and support the association’s litigation support agenda. 

Richard M. Scherer, Jr. concentrates a significant portion of his practice defending creditors, loan services, and debt collectors subject to claims brought under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Richard also has experience in representing clients in investigations commenced by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and state regulators.
