BUFFALO, N.Y. – Lippes Mathias today announced the addition of Shawn P. Byrns, an associate, to its trusts and estates practice team. Based in the firm’s Buffalo office, Shawn will focus his practice on trust and estate planning for individuals, families, and businesses in matters ranging from drafting personal wills to multigenerational succession planning. Shawn supports clients with various backgrounds and complex situations by understanding their needs and goals to protect their personal interests. His experience also includes trust creation, drafting of last will and testaments, powers of attorney and healthcare proxy designations, state, and federal litigation matters, as well as estate probate and administration.

Shawn received his BA in 2013 from the State University of New York at Fredonia and graduated with his J.D. from Vermont Law School in 2018. In 2020, Shawn was recognized as a Buffalo Business First Emerging Attorney and in 2017 was selected as a recipient of the Equal Justice Fellowship while attending law school. Outside of his practice, Shawn is active within a number of professional organizations, including the Bar Association of Erie County, the New York State Bar Association, and the Sports Lawyers Association.
