Bio
Ms. Cominsky is a member of the firm’s business and commercial litigation practice team where she focuses her practice on handling disputes among and between entities and individuals across a wide range of matters. She has litigated cases in New York state courts as well as federal courts across the country. Her experience includes matters involving contract disputes, disputes over ownership interests in closely held businesses, disputes in the course of lender-borrower relationships, and other financial matters between parties. Ms. Cominsky’s practice also includes handling cases regarding consumer financial services including claims under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and other consumer protection statutes. Ms. Cominsky has extensive experience in litigating landlord-tenant matters, including residential and commercial evictions and plenary actions, including handling post-judgment enforcement issues.
Prior to joining Lippes Mathias, Ms. Cominsky expanded her experience as a coverage attorney analyzing first and third-party insurance claims. While in law school, Ms. Cominsky served on the Editorial Board of the Buffalo Law Review and gained critical insight in her role as a Student Attorney for the University at Buffalo School of Law’s Mediation Clinic and as a Legal Fellow for the law school’s Veterans Law Practicum.
