Lawrence H. Schaefer is a Partner in the Albany office of Lippes Mathias LLP where he focuses his practice on representing labor unions and individuals before arbitrators, mediators, administrative agencies, and in New York’s state and federal courts.   

After graduation from law school, Larry received a direct commission in the U.S. Air Force as a Judge Advocate where he practiced until joining a private law firm in 1998. 

Larry retired from New York Air National Guard in 2021, after serving as a Colonel and Staff Judge Advocate for Joint Forces Headquarters-Air in Latham, NY.
