Mahra Sarofsky is an experienced litigation and transactional attorney whose practice focuses on providing outside General Counsel Services and direction to businesses and the people that run them. She is a skilled trial and appellate lawyer and frequently represents both individuals and companies in complex commercial and general civil litigation, bankruptcy, employment, professional negligence, and real estate disputes. Mahra has successfully litigated, including through appeal, or otherwise favorably resolved, numerous cases seeking redress for breach of contract, trade secret, deceptive/unfair trade practice, fraudulent transfers, consumer and other frauds, and various business torts.
Outside the courtroom, Mahra guides her clients through the process of business formation, acquiring assets, managing employees, structuring debt, obtaining liquidity, mergers, dissolutions, enforcing contractual rights and obligations, and limiting exposure for liability. Mahra also has substantial experience negotiating and drafting commercial leases, employment documents, and corporate governance documents. She frequently applies the same creative problem solving used to resolve complex business litigation when navigating her clients through complex business structuring, real estate transactions, and creative 1031 solutions.
