Andrea H. Vossler to Speak at WNY Women's Foundation's Women's Leadership Summit

Andrea H. Vossler, partner and co-leader of Lippes Mathias' startups & venture capital and family business practice teams, will be a featured speaker at the WNY Women's Foundation's Women's Leadership Summit. The event is scheduled for Friday, May 31, at the University at Buffalo Alumni Arena.

Vossler will participate in the second session of the Summit's Entrepreneur Pathway, Capital Chronicles: Navigating the Financial Maze for Small Businesses and Startups. The panel will address the complexities of financing entrepreneurial ventures, offering attendees valuable insights and strategies for successfully navigating the financial landscape.

Joining Vossler on the panel are Richard Kim, director of startup ventures at the University at Buffalo, who will serve as the moderator, Nickole Garrison, partner and chief client service officer at Garrison Murphy Wealth Management; Crystal Morgan, assistant vice president at Pursuit; Lauren Schellinger, vice president and regional relationship manager at Impressia Bank; Crystal Wallace, project manager of the Founders Go Big Program at Launch NY; and Paul Hoffman, lender relations specialist at the U.S. Small Business Administration - Buffalo District.

Andrea H Vossler has extensive transactional experience working with founders, startups, growth-stage companies, family businesses, investors, and funds across various stages, sectors, and geographies. Her practice experience includes advising companies in general corporate matters, debt and equity financings, and exit transactions; representing sponsors in fund formations; and extensive M&A experience. Her work with later-stage and family-owned businesses focuses on helping them develop and implement succession, governance, compensation, and other plans and policies by applying social neuroscience and positive psychology strategies. She began her career in New York City at Mayer Brown LLP, a leading international law firm, working on large-scale M&A transactions, private equity financings, and IPOs. In addition to her legal work, Vossler is a managing director of Varia Fund 1, a seed and series A venture fund, a co-founder of Varia Ventures (www.varia.com), a platform for professionals and their organizations interested in venture investing, and general counsel to Impact Capital, a series A venture fund. In addition to her venture capital and private equity work, she has served in various roles with organizations that focus on entrepreneurship, democratizing access to capital, and women’s leadership. She is an entrepreneur in residence at Columbia Technology Ventures and a mentor for Founders' Institute and Endeavor. Vossler is past Chair of the WNY Women’s Foundation and past general counsel and Director of Upstate Capital.
