Helen S. Atter and Patricia M. Dodson Serve as Mentors at the Jacksonville Business Journal’s Annual Mentoring Monday

Jacksonville office attorneys Helen S. Atter and Patricia M. Dodson participated as mentors during the Jacksonville Business Journal’s 12th Annual Mentoring Monday on February 24. The event brought together professionals for structured, fast-paced mentoring sessions with business leaders from across the region. 

Designed to provide career-focused insight, Mentoring Monday offered attendees the opportunity to engage with accomplished professionals in one-on-one and small-group conversations. Participants included individuals at various career stages, from those seeking to launch their professional paths to those exploring leadership opportunities or industry transitions. 

Atter and Dodson joined a roster of mentors selected for their professional experience and commitment to supporting career development in the Jacksonville business community. The event was part of a national series hosted by regional business journals, with simultaneous gatherings in multiple cities. 

About Helen S. Atter 

Helen S. Atter brings extensive private and corporate counsel experience to Lippes Mathias, having held multiple executive positions with the PGA Tour, including associate general counsel and vice president of corporate compliance. She later served as general counsel and vice president of legal and business affairs for the World Golf Foundation. Before joining the PGA Tour, Atter worked as branch counsel and vice president of First American Title Company of Florida Inc., managing underwriting and commercial closings at state and local levels. Her practice at Lippes Mathias focuses on corporate and business law, assisting individuals and companies with business formation, corporate transactions, branding, and intellectual property issues. 

About Patricia S. Dodson 

Patricia M. Dodson has more than 30 years of experience in civil and criminal trial, government and constitutional law, nonprofit law, and corporate counsel. She has tried more than 70 jury trials to verdict, as well as numerous bench trials, throughout her career. Dodson represents clients in civil and commercial litigation, personal injury, and employment discrimination matters. She also handles breach of contract cases, professional regulation and credentialing, and medical malpractice defense. 

Prior to joining Lippes Mathias, Dodson spent seven years as chief of staff and general counsel for K9s for Warriors, where she also led the policy and government affairs team. She is a former assistant state attorney and managing director of the State Attorney’s Office in Florida’s Fourth Judicial Circuit. Licensed in Florida since 1993, she has practiced in all courts in the state, held leadership positions in various associations, and led hundreds of state employees during her career.
