Lippes Mathias Expands Litigation Practice with the Addition of Partner Meghann N. Roehl

Lippes Mathias LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Meghann N. Roehl as a partner in the firm’s Buffalo office. Roehl joins the firm’s litigation practice team, where she brings extensive experience managing complex litigation matters, including medical, dental, and podiatric malpractice; nursing home negligence; product liability; municipal law; personal injury; civil rights; and commercial litigation. 

As a member of Lippes Mathias’ litigation practice team, Roehl handles a wide range of legal matters, including medical, dental, and podiatric malpractice; nursing home negligence; product liability; municipal law; personal injury; civil rights; general liability; contract disputes; and commercial litigation. She also represents clients in professional licensing disputes before New York State agencies, managing all phases of litigation from initial case development to trial and appeal.

In addition to her litigation work, Roehl advises health care and human service providers on regulatory, compliance, enforcement, litigation, and corporate matters. Her clients include skilled nursing facilities, assisted living and independent senior housing, home care agencies, clinics, medical transportation providers, pharmacies, and other health care professionals. She regularly interprets, negotiates, and drafts agreements and service documentation for health care providers. 

Roehl also represents municipalities, municipal agencies, and school districts in litigation, civil rights claims, and Article 7 Tax Certiorari matters. 

Roehl earned her J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law in 2006 and her B.A. from Syracuse University in 2002, where she was a member of the school’s division I rowing team. She has served on the Board of Directors of the Bar Association of Erie County from 2016 to 2019, is a member of the New York State Bar Association, Western New York Trial Lawyers Association, and the Defense Research Institute. 

In addition to her legal work, Roehl is an adjunct professor at the University at Buffalo School of Law, where she has taught Law, Analysis, and Legal Writing since 2012. She has also been involved in the community as a former member of the Board of Directors for the Children’s Growth Foundation from 2015 to 2019 and the Nardin Academy Alumni Association. 

Roehl’s professional recognitions include being named to The Best Lawyers in America© for 2025, Buffalo Business First’s 40 Under 40 list in 2017, and Upstate New York SuperLawyers® from 2017 to 2024. She is also a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, a Barrister in the Order of Veritas, and an Advocate in the Order of Certus.
