BUFFALO, NY – Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP Partner Jennifer C. Persico and Associate James P. Blenk will be speaking at the thirty-fifth annual Greater Buffalo Environmental Conference hosted by the New York Water Environment Association. The event will take place Tuesday, March 21 at the Adam’s Mark Hotel.
Ms. Persico and Mr. Blenk will present a case study that involved NYS General Municipal Law Section 103. They will be joined by Joseph Fiegl of the Erie County Department of Environment and Planning.
The conference is being held to provide information with regard to environmental clean-up and pollution control. The conference will feature discussions on a variety of topics that will be beneficial to any individual having a need to understand how the United States Environmental Protection Agency, New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and local regulations affect the discharge of pollutants.
“The protection of our waterways is a high priority of regulators at all levels of government and the rules and regulations associated with this oversight can be very complicated,” said Persico. “Any entity that discharges into area waterways needs a management plan in place to fulfill their regulatory obligations.”
