Lippes Mathias LLP is pleased to announce that Priscilla Bonsu has joined the firm’s Buffalo office as an associate. Bonsu focuses her practice on securities, private equity, venture capital, general corporate law, and a broad range of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and independent sponsor transactions. 

Her experience includes preparing filings with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, advising domestic public companies and foreign private issuers on securities matters, and working on de-SPAC and SPAC transactions. She currently serves as the co-chair of the International Private Equity & Venture Capital Committee of the American Bar Association’s International Law Section and has appeared as a legal analyst on international news networks, including the BBC. 

Bonsu earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2019, an LL.M. from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law in 2014, and her First German State Exam in law from Heidelberg University School of Law in 2013. She is fluent in English, German, and Akan. 

Her professional affiliations include the American Bar Association, and she has been recognized with several honors, including the National Association of Women Lawyers Award (2019), the Emory University Women of Excellence Award (2019), and selection to the Lawyers of Color Annual Hot List in 2022.
