Bio
Ms. Telga concentrates her practice on banking and financial transactions, representing financial organizations in complex structured finance transactions. In representing commercial lenders, she takes loan transactions from the commitment phase through and after closing. Her attention to detail and strong understanding of commercial lending practices aids in her ability to develop creative and effective solutions to structure loans, negotiate documents and manage risk. Her practice has a strong focus on real estate secured transactions, including construction loans, and she has immersed herself with understanding the various underlying commercial real estate and construction transaction structures, and has a keen eye for vetting the real property in its capacity as loan collateral to ensure risk is properly managed from the perspective of the lender.
Ms. Telga also represents buyers and sellers on commercial real estate transactions, including borrower-side representation where financing is involved.
Additionally, Ms. Telga is a member of the firm’s Cannabis Practice Team where she assists clients with navigating New York’s Adult-Use Cannabis market. She works with clients in various capacities, including assistance with adult-use applications, state licensure maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
Ms. Telga participated in the firm’s Summer Associate Program. She is a 2023 graduate of Syracuse University College of Law. While in law school, she worked as a student attorney in the Syracuse University Transactional Law Clinic and as a teaching assistant for first year law students in legal writing. She also served as the Law Student Representative to the Board of Trustees and as the Administrative Editor of the Journal of International Law and Commerce.
