Lippes Mathias today announced the inclusion of partners Colleen Flynn Goss and Brendan P. Kelleher on the 2023 edition of Irish Voice Newspaper’s Irish Legal 100, an annual compilation of the most distinguished Irish American legal professionals. The 2023 Irish Legal 100 class includes United States Supreme Court Justices, attorneys, and legal scholars from across the United States who share a common bond: pride in their Irish heritage. The honorees were invited to celebrate their selection at a reception at the home of the Honorable Geraldine Byrne Nason, Ireland’s Ambassador to the United States.

This is the second consecutive year being named to the Irish Legal 100 for Goss, who counsels domestic and international clients on a variety of trademark and copyright matters. Her practice encompasses advising clients on the selection, clearance, and adoption of new trademarks, prosecution of applications, registration, maintenance and enforcement of trademarks and domain names, as well as providing counsel on transactional matters and disputes related to trade secrets, false advertising, and trademarks. Goss works closely with clients to understand their risk tolerance and develop practical strategies for establishing their brands, maintaining and enforcing their IP assets, and achieving their business objectives. She also is experienced in advising clients on complex transactions and disputes related to trade secrets, false advertising, trademarks, and copyrights. Goss strives to provide practical, cost-effective, and sound advice that enables her clients to make effective use of their trademarks. 

Kelleher, who has now been included on the list three years in a row, focuses his practice on the representation of employers in all areas of employment law, including the negotiation of employment and separation agreements, counseling employers regarding their obligations under federal and New York State labor and employment laws, and representing employers before federal and state courts, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the New York State Division of Human Rights, the United States and State Departments of Labor, and other federal and state agencies. Kelleher regularly conducts workplace investigations for employers, including investigations of allegations of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other alleged employee misconduct. Drawing on his experiences as the general counsel to the City of Buffalo School District and his representation of school districts for over two decades, Kelleher devotes a significant portion of his practice to representing and counseling school districts in all areas of their operations and the unique challenges they face.
