Colleen Flynn Goss is a well-established attorney who counsels domestic and international clients on a variety of trademark and copyright matters. Her practice encompasses advising clients on the selection, clearance, and adoption of new trademarks, prosecution of applications, registration, maintenance and enforcement of trademarks and domain names, as well as providing counsel on transactional matters and disputes related to trade secrets, false advertising, and trademarks. 
 
Colleen works closely with clients to understand their risk tolerance and develop practical strategies for establishing their brands, maintaining and enforcing their IP assets, and achieving their business objectives. She also is experienced in advising clients on complex transactions and disputes related to trade secrets, false advertising, trademarks, and copyrights. Colleen strives to provide practical, cost-effective, and sound advice that enables her clients to make effective use of their trademarks.
 
Overseeing and managing the worldwide trademark assets of a major healthcare provider and a multinational food and biotechnology corporation is the keystone of Colleen’s practice. Her other varied clients include universities, consumer product and industrial manufacturing companies, and medical device manufacturers. She has also gained extensive international exposure through representation of trademark applicants based outside the United States.
 
Colleen is an actively involved member of the International Trademark Association (INTA) most recently as chair of the organization’s Publication Committee and currently a member of the Professional Development Committee. She is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and has been selected for inclusion in the World Trademark Review 1000 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals every year since 2018. Colleen was recently selected as a member of the 2023 Irish Legal 100 – the annual compilation of distinguished legal professionals in the United States who share a common bond: pride in their Irish heritage. She has taught trademark law as an adjunct professor at Case Western Reserve University School of Law.

Colleen previously worked in private practice for a large Cleveland law firm concentrating on mergers, acquisitions, and securities law and has a decade of experience serving as in-house counsel for several Cleveland-based, publicly traded corporations.
